THOR – Working with Tips

1. Tip Entry Setup

Before entering tips in the THOR system, employees must be granted appropriate permissions. This is done via: MASTER DATA → STAFF GROUPS – DEPARTMENTS → Permissions. Enable the option allowing tip entry.

2. Entering Tips During Invoice Issuance

If the refund setup is enabled, during cash payment a window pops up for entering received cash. You can manually enter the tip or select the leftover change as a tip.

Tips appear at the bottom of the receipt.

Note: Displaying tips is not mandatory by law but helps in tracking and later modifications.

3. Post-Sale Tip Entry

If refund on invoice is not enabled, tips must be entered via: RETAIL → INVOICE REVIEW. Select the invoice and click 'Enter Tip'. You can specify the tip amount and payment method. This also allows correcting previously entered tips.

4. Reviewing Tips

Tips can be viewed in the DAILY TURNOVER screen. Filter by date and view detailed entries including payment method. You can export a detailed Excel report.
Cash tips can optionally be included in the bank deposit summary. If enabled, HUB and transaction breakdowns will reflect this. Unfiscalized tips (within 48h) are automatically fiscalized upon entry into the daily turnover screen.

5. Integration with POS Card Terminals

Via: SERVICE → PROGRAM SETTINGS → TIP SETTINGS, configure how POS terminals handle tips.
Supported modes:
- Round Up: Suggests tip as the rounded difference.
- Fixed Amount: Always suggests a set tip (e.g., 1€).
- Percentage of Bill: Recommended. Allows up to 3 preset percentages (e.g., 3%, 5%, 10%).
You can also define whether entering a tip is mandatory, and what message to show (e.g., 'Thank you for your tip!').
